Just a little appreciation post for our beautiful Cat Izzy, we adopted her in lockdown, and from the beginning she's been the absoulute dream. So confident, really gentle with my young children and supper affectionate. A penchant for bringing it half dead mice and birds aside (Clearly, she feels we are bad hunters :D) We couldn't ask for better!

I initially was more of a dog person, my husband persuaded me to get her and we are besties now, she sticks to my side, sleeps on my side of my bed, constantly on my lap - the husband is a bit jealous 😥

Please feel to share photos of your wonderful pets!

Oh what a beautiful tortie!

She reminds me of a very special cat who I loved very much and will never stop missing. It was a privilege to have her in my life.

It sounds like your lovely girl is bringing you as much happiness as mine did.

Shield1990 · 28/02/2023 14:30

@CatChant Thank you, she is a lovely girl, a madam mind you 😆Couldn't be more grateful to have her with us.

Awww I am so sorry for the loss of your cat, they really become one of the family don;t they? If you feel like telling me about your gorgeous girl, please feel free to. She will have had the best life with lots of love and you will always have those amazing memories x

Awww she’s lovely! I adopted my sweet girl in early June 2020, so also a lock down kitty.

Dfg15 · 28/02/2023 14:37

This is our gorgeous boy. We've had him since July last year. He's half Rag Doll, so not the brightess spark, but we love him

Our little black dcat saved our tabby from pining to death imo. His db died and he was distraught...

She's gorgeous! I have a Tortie girl who is just lovely. Serene, loving and with the most gentle nature. She's almost 11 now.

I adopted my third, a rescue girl, just before lockdowns set in. Some days, when she is chasing my toes or curled up purring next to me, I feel quite profoundly that she saved my life more than I saved hers.

How lucky we are to have cats in our lives!

Papergirl1968 · 28/02/2023 15:18

Excuse the rubbish photo, but I'm a week post neurosurgery and have finally been forgiven for abandoning the three of them, including Matt, who is nearly nine.

This is my fluff ball. She's only allowed on the bed when DH isn't here!

Not rubbish at all @Papergirl1968 , I hope you're recovering well, and glad to hear you've been forgiven ; )

Doing well, thanks, Shield.
There have been some dark moments over the last few days but he has made me laugh by falling off the radiator on average of three times an evening - the radiator is narrow, he is not - and his attempts to style it out!

FatFilledTrottyPuss · 28/02/2023 16:39

What gorgeous cats.
Walter Buttons adopted us during lockdown, I think he’d been sort of stray but possibly getting by with help from our neighbour. After neighbour sadly passed away he started hanging out on my patio and sneaking in our open windows to steal our actual cats food. He’s so at home now, but unfortunately not very well house trained. Wouldn’t you think this was a cat asking for tummy rubs? He lasts 2 rubs and then tries (gently) to bite us. He’s a big sweetly though. Very big in fact and not happy about being put on a diet!

Tortie cats are the best. As are black cats. Oh and tuxedos, and white ones, and...well, all cats are the best. I've shared this on here before but this is my gorgeous tortie looking silly.

She's so lovely! I always like to hear about people who weren't keen on cats then grow to love them! Cats are brilliant
My cat brings me so much joy. At this very moment he's curled up on my lap.

PushkaMcgee · 28/02/2023 21:21

Loving all these gorgeous cat pics. @Ludo19 your twins are adorable

Magic (pre eye loss) and Cheddar. Born rescues. They've cost me an absolute fortune. But worth every penny!
