How long is your cat? (Especially if you have a smaller model).

Head to end of body, not including tail?

I wish I had measured her on arrival as she was very small. I am now thinking I have a younger cat than I wanted and have been mis-sold as she looks considerably bigger and only a few months in.

She has only been fed the best, is spoiled to bits because that's what cats are for, had been in the rescue with kittens, and was underweight and flea ridden so I expected improvement but not so much extra cat for the age stated. I was enjoying having a tiny cat and feel a bit hard done by.

She is still beautiful and loving and very dear to me, but bigger.

I've got twin litter mates. Both same size when they arrived. One has grown into a small boned pretty and light footed boy.

His brother is a beast. A hugely friendly and easy going beast. We call him Larry Longpaw cos when he stretches out he spans the whole bed. He ways almost half as much again as his brother.

Same diet. Same outdoor exercise time. Cats are quirky aren't they.

How can you be mis-sold from a rescue?! They are rescued cats and kittens, the majority of the time they don't know their full back ground including their age, it's just an estimate. Maybe your partner wanted a smaller model too?? Who knows!

You also can't compare sizes! Thars like comparing human sizes, it's ridiculous

If you read past the first post on the thread you will see that I omitted to put 'lighthearted' in my post.

Many of the posts by cat people do not require this as they tend not to be as nit picky as AIBU so it didn't cross my mind that I needed to warn people in advance.

People do also compare human sizes, ridiculous or not.

You can find charts on cat sizes, you could complain to the people that design them if you are at a loose end.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Interesting how they differ so much. I think mine is still possibly the smallest, unless you all have exceptionally long cats, above the 'internet' average I have been looking at 😺
