is going to cost more.

For a 3kg cat it is now recommended you feed them 3 or 3.5 pouches per day. Old recipe was 2.

Calorie content has reduced from 77 to 62 per pouch.

There is also NOTHING ON THE BOX TO SAY THIS IS A NEW RECIPE

Please spread the word outside of here.

I won't be buying any more of this s$£t, and will never buy another MARS product.

🤬🤬 on behalf of my 2 hangry cats.

Morning. Smile
I don't mind about the fountain spam. My cats won't drink much unless it's while the tap is running. 🤦‍♀️
When they were little, I'd be able to run the tap on their heads and they'd lick the water off. 😻
They drank loads more when they were on dry food, too. I'm not going back to that - don't worry!

I use a squirt of salmon oil for constipation which seems to help
Mine had a blood clot blocking his urethra and cost me a bloody fortune. Couple of years later he got what they thought was triaditis so I'm really cautious what I feed him

I have dry down but it's grain free and he's only got one tooth so might nibble a few bits, it's mostly for not my cat Grin
I'm also feeding the hi life tuna in jelly which is a complementary food, mostly because little 3kg idiot here eats like a lion and I can't afford the 5 pouches of natures menu he wants a day!!!
Tried loads of stuff from zooplus which he rejected. He does like Purrform obvs, it's expensive and occasionally lily's kitchen. His taste buds are a mystery and apparently change daily

Salmon oil didn't work for mine. No oil did. Water in food, malt paste, vitamin paste and lactulose just about shift it.

Where do you get Natures Menu pouches please? I used to get them but they seem to have been replaced by the tins of grey stinky cement.

If dry doesn't have cereal it usually has potato which isn't any better. No cat would go in search of dried potato given the choice. Blood spots trailing through the house after a treat of a dry food that was purported to be healthy was the last straw. It really was only 8 kibbles, poor little guy. Could have been worse I suppose, he could have had poisoning from badly stored grain and died. I first read about an issue like this around 2005/6 but all the information vanished due to a law suit. It was a company that produces large amounts of wet food that is not complete and I haven't bought from them since, for both reasons. Advertising food as healthy when it is missing nutrients is sneaky. As is not allowing people to know their pets could be killed.

I read somewhere yesterday that the Whiskas pouches have reduced the quantity per pouch rather than raising the price - shrinkflation.

I have dogs, not cats. However, I not only recommend Zooplus, but also their discount sister site, Bitiba too.

@CatAssTrophic I get them from ormskirk pets website but I think they only have the kitten ones left. Found the website randomly and I like that it's a family business so try to shop with them

CatAssTrophic · 27/01/2023 15:53

@Rebel2023 thank you. I don't actually need it as I shop on Zooplus but I remember the pouches were softer and moister than the other stuff, I wasn't pleased when I went to buy an emergency supply of food due to our new arrival being sent home early and not much in the house for her.

I am really annoyed they have changed the food, finally have a cat that would relish some of the old stuff, even for dustbin she wasn't mad about the tins, I don't blame her, however she forced it down but without the enthusiasm.

Rebel2023 · 27/01/2023 17:02

It is definitely wetter and softer. My boy only has one tooth so he appreciates soft food! Although he demolishes raw chicken wings happily still
