DH let the cat escape - she has a cone of shame on!

So our little female has a issue with over grooming, flea allergy, stress grooming.

We've had to put a cone on her as she was making her undercarriage bald and sore, but we were letting her out for a bit without the cone on.

She'd been out this morning and come home, we'd put the cone back on and she was sulking on the sofa.

DH didn't see where she was and opened the door to let male cat out. She shot out after him with her cone still on.

She isn't back yet but the boy cat is.
I'm stressing about her getting stuck somewhere with her cone.
Best case she comes back without it and will start worrying at herself again.

Oh no.
Has she returned? I hope she is soon safely back with you. Good luck.

She's back thanks! And with the cone.

She's had a nice brush and is curled up on the sofa.
She's much cuddlier with the cone on.

Poor girl had the cone for months last year as she had a burst abscess on her back. When she gets itchy she tends to worry at that scar and open it up again too.

Glad she returned. They are such a worry!

If she gets itchy in general, have you tried hypoallergenic food?
I know she has other issues but, although our cat is fine, we did have a dog that would gnaw her paws to bits and constantly be itchy & had dandruff. Both issues cleared really quickly with a change to hypoallergenic food and stopping DM (we used to visit regularly) using shake n’ vac.
