Cat has an abscess

My poor cat has an abscess, it needs to be drained and I have just been quoted £750 upwards. Just paid £110 for consultation and an antibiotic shot . Is it worth me getting a second consultation as I am not sure this is highly priced or average 😞

I always get the long acting antibiotic injection for ours when they have an abscess. Was the injection he gave the long acting one? It lasts for about 10 days. I knock the scab off and drain it if I can and wash it out with hibiscrub or salt in boiled water. They have always healed well.
