I just made a 10 mile round trip just get my girls some tuna, happy girls now. Also when i give their litter tray a thorough clean and disinfect i blow dry it with my hair dryer so its all dry and nice for them. What things do you do that go above and beyond the call of duty ?

Well clearly I'm a terrible slave.... though I did do a 100 mile round trip last week to a cat show to buy them things. That were ignored, obviously.

I travelled about 50 miles to buy a specific bed (wouldn't post it) bloody useless as the don't use it. I also got specialist litter trays shipped from America.

Mine are grey which aren't available to buy here as yet plus you get a choice of plant also. Cost around £300 all in for two, because I wanted grey ones @Toddlerteaplease

Do you have a special soft towel? I hope so. Bonus points if it's actually a special soft fabric hair turban towel thing you bought especially for this purpose. Obviously each cat in the household needs their own too.

In fairness, Ollie's name is much shorter than my cats' names. When I got their insurance email through it cut half of it off as it was too long

Since his brother got run over and killed last October I have sat in the garden for several hours each day with DC so that he can safely sniff, stalk and pounce to his little catty heart's content.

I also spend more of my sleeping hours than I would choose lying on my right side because he favours sleeping on that side of me (with his head on the pillow) and if I am facing the other way when he gets into bed he chews my hair until I roll over...

I don't boot him off when he wants to sit across the top of my pillow, even though it looks as if I am wearing a ginger furry hat and his fluff gets in my face.

My cat sometimes sends me to bed . She will come and meow and take you out of the room , if it's into the kitchen , it's feed me. But sometimes it's to the bedroom where she will jump up on the bed and wants you to lay down and stroke her whilst she dozes on the bed.
I'm firmly under her paw !

I am single and sleep in a double bed, but only on one side as sometimes my cat wants to sleep on the other side. Of course he is worth it 🐱

We are trying to deal with the cost of living crisis by turning off our hot water (for about 7 weeks now, although we have an electric shower so we are not unclean). Plus we have closed down a few rooms and turned the radiators off in them. House kept at 17 degrees.

Never the less our bed's electric blanket is turned on daily around 1 pm as that is where Number One Cat likes to have her afternoon nap.

Years ago one of my young Burmese used to switch the electric blanket on himself every evening. When we twigged it was him we had to keep the bedroom door closed or remove the plug. Burmese are part monkey. Lever type door handles are easy to open.
