Fortiflora as a long term solution to sensitive and fussy cats

Just wanted to see if anyone has experience with this?

One of my cats has a sensitive stomach, which is not helped by the fact that she also will eat almost everything in sight given the chance.

I have 2 other cats (1 who is extremely fussy, the ‘if she’s hungry, she will eat’ routine will not work on her. She will just not eat). It is a struggle finding a food that they all agree on and doesn’t set off sensitive cats stomach.

I have tried all sorts of brands, techniques, vets prescribed food over the years. sensitive cat will not eat the usual vets brands (royal canine etc). They will not use timed/microchipped feeders.

I tried her on Webbox for a while and her stomach issues stopped, but she would mainly lick the jelly and the other two wouldn’t eat it. So I would give the other 2 a food they will eat, but then sensitive cat would polish off the leftovers. She then stops eating webbox because she can, I assume, smell the ‘better’ food (and probably still hungry from only eating the jelly)

The foods that don’t set her off as badly, don’t generally go down well with all 3 cats.

The only thing that works is me standing there waiting for them to finish, to scoop up any leftovers. This is all well and good, but they eat several times a day, sometimes they eat at different times and are in and out of the house all day, it’s not feasible.

So now I’m thinking of trying fortiflora alongside one of the foods that all 3 will half heartedly eat, and that don’t set her stomach off as bad (stinky but solid poo) - either scrumbles or natures menu.

I read somewhere, maybe on here, that cats go ‘mad’ for it? So if it helps cat with sensitive stomach, and makes fussy cats eat, it will be a win win. Google says it can be used long term, but I’m worried I’m missing something?

Does anyone else use it regularly and would you recommend it?

@PureBlackVoid Yes mine is on daily Fortiflora after a bad bout of giardia in kittenhood. She is 1.5 years old and her digestive system has never been better.

I sprinkle a tiny amount on her wet food twice a day. So one sachet lasts me 3-4 days. I don't use the whole sachet in one sitting as recommended. That can be a bit overkill I suppose.

But yes Fortiflora definitely helps with appetite, tummy and since it is a probiotic I'm assuming boosts her immune system as well.

Thanks @Amrapaali It sounds like it’s worth giving it a go!
