Literally this! Litter tray problems

My INDOOR 4 year old rescue cutie, Zelda, has recently starting weeing on the floor by her litter tray. I thought at first it was a message to clean said litter tray (usually twice a week used to be sufficient and started cleaning every other day but problem remained so I tried a new litter and for the first two days everything went perfectly but on day 3 she's wee'd outside the bod on the bathroom floor :-(

The litters I used are (currently) Worlds Best Cat Litter (green bag) which is compostable corn and very easy to clean up. Before that, for months, she was happy with Cats Best Wood Fibre, also clump forming and flushable, but obviously she became unhappy with it.

Any suggestions to resolve this situation gratefully received! I do want as eco friendly as possible and clay pellets (her first litter) is a non starter as it spread all over the house. TIA. desperate keeper of Zelda's whims.

She needs to see a vet. Weeing outside the box is a sign of a UTI.

Thanks nountainsunset Hadn't thought of this although she has suffered from them in the past. Have sent a message to our vet. Zelda is impossible to take a sample from unless sedated and has a very small bladder.

Didn't you mean litterally op?

Her indoor paw pads will be soft and the litter might be too rough for her, try an ultraclumping litter if the vet draws a blank. It’s clay but small granules.

Are you even a cat owner if your house isn’t covered in random bits of litter?
