Dry food = diarrhoea

Hi TLC, one of my cats gets pure liquid arse every time he eats dry food! We’ve tried dozens of brands, even sensitive tummy ones. Same result every time.

They all have wet food twice a day but I would like to be able to leave a bowl of dry food out for grazing between meals as they’re always feral when it comes to mealtimes so they’re probably hungry! My two girls have no problem with dry food but boy cat can’t tolerate it.

Can anyone recommend a diarrhoea-proof dry food please? Bonus points if you’ve found one for a cat who previously got the sharts with any other dry food!

Glad to have some company! I’ve done 3 full litter changes this week because he got into a bag of dry food in the night and absolutely gorged himself 😳 he never learns!

Try grain free dry food. We had a cat who was allergic to grains and they really ran the guts out of him.

Have you tried Arden grange? It’s cereal free, human grade meat and manufactured in the uk.

We’ve tried them all with our cat and he also gets a runny bottom after a couple of days. Unfortunately grain free didn’t make any difference. We’ve given up on it now and just accept that it isn’t for him.

To be honest, he’s immensely greedy anyway and you can never leave food out without him gorging on it until he becomes visibly swollen…!
