Urinary food

Hello.
My baby girl is busy recovering from surgery to remove stones from her bladder.
The vet has recommended that we switch her to urinary food, no problem, (except that I just stocked up on food).

Does anyone have any preferred brands? Do the foods actively prevent the stones or do they not contain stuff that will cause the stones to form?

Hi, we use Royal Canin for our boy who has been in three times now for bladder crystals. So long as you are religious about keeping her on that, she should be ok 🤞

The dry Royal Canin worked for my cats. They eventually grew out of getting cystitis, which is what the vet said could happen, so they weren't on the urinary food for the rest of their lives.

We use Purina as it's much cheaper than Royal Canin and seems to work just as well.

I get it delivered from Amazon on subscription and it's around £30 every four-six weeks but I have three cats rating it so it should last much longer with one!

Purina urinary, Royal urinary and hills c/d are the best food to feed. But they should not be fed until fully recovered from surgery.
