Sureflap dualscan cat flap v cat flap connect

I'm a bit confused about what they both can do after looking at the sure pet website.
I have two cats and want to be able to set a curfew, also the ability to have different curfews for each in case of medical issues later.
Can both of them do this? And is the only difference that the connect will let you see who has gone in and out?
Also do you need to get the hub for that?
Also the cats are currently 10 months and approx 4kg each and boys is it likely they will get too big for the cat flap ones and need the pet doors?
Thanks

We have the connect (but it’s 2 years old so perhaps an older version) - you can set curfews for the house overall which apply to both cats but not individual times for each cat, or you can lock one or both cats fully to indoor mode (eg if they’re ill). There is then an app which tells you whose in and whose out, has lots of charts etc. it’s very good!

We got the one with the hub because it was the only one that would let me set separate curfews for each cat - should we ever need to. (We've never needed too yet). The car flap is big enough for a normal cat. The pet door is for dogs I think. My honest review is that it's a lot of money for functions we will probably never use. The notification of which cat is in or out is only accurate if you don't let them in and out doors and windows......and if you are away it's nice to know.....until one doesn't come in and then it can be a worry. But what can you actually do if you aren't home? However my husband loves a gadget!!

We've got the cat flap with the hub and have one cat set to indoor only. Was totally obsessed with the charts for the first year or so - very helpful for seeing how often they go out even now. One cat is totally on a timetable, one just buggers off and won't come when called so it's nice to know if she's hiding in the house or outside. Have a 6.5kg cat and he fits through no trouble. We don't use the curfew often as they get confused but it's very useful on bonfire night etc.

Ah yes I should say our cats never adapted to the curfew and would just sit there head butting the cat flap and miaowing all night … It is useful for trapping them for vet visits etc.

Ours have a nightly curfew. They know nothing else. So whilst they sometimes beg at the back door to go out late, we rarely let them. They know if the flap doesn't open it's tough. We do try to keep the utility room door shut after that time too.
