Do you regularly flea treat and worm indoor cats?

My daughter has two new Ragdoll kittens. She's wormed and flea treated both as they came into her home

Going forward, do they need to be flea treated and wormed? Advice is a little conflicting online. They will never go outside

Thanks

We have three indoor cats who are have never been flea treated or wormed since they were 16 weeks old.

They're now 7, 5 and 2 and perfectly healthy.

No. We did it when they came from the breeder but not since. What would be the point?

We never did with our two previous indoor cats either. We got two rescue cats just before Christmas who we will shortly be letting outdoors so I'm looking into both flea and worming treatment currently. It's all new to me and I've no idea what to go for!

We do it before he goes to the cat prison cattery

Mine usually get a once a year "just in case" dose, then at times like The Great Mouse Conservatory Invasion when I let the cats in and they played merry hell with the invaders until the remaining few ran away, or the time I visited a friend & discovered that her dog was covered in fleas.

I do mine occasionally because it's possible to walk things on from outside. And DS plays with every cat he meets on the street do you never know. But not as regularly as the vets say

I regularly worm and semi regularly flea treat my indoor 2 ragdolls.
Flea treatment because they go in the garden to play most days, and the vet told me to still regularly worm as they have a raw food diet so I just do as I'm told 🤷🏽‍♀️ 😂

I normally don't with my indoor girl, who's 11 years old, apart from when we travel to a different country. I take her to the vet for an annual checkup and at the last checkup her passport was updated, and the vet recommended she be treated more so for the de-worming, which I agreed to. I won't be something I do regularly, as she doesn't mix with my other cats that go outside.

I checked with the vet re how often cats should be treated, and he said every 3 months with Stronghold.

I do but one of them is very sensitive and has a flea allergy, so even one bite makes it flare up horribly and ends up costing a fortune at the vets (pre existing condition so insurance won't pay) so better safe than sorry.

Imma bit lax with mine. But the generally get done every couple of months.
