Ragdoll X BSH

I have the opportunity to reduce a 10 week old Ragdoll X British Short Hair and wondered if anyone had any insight into what the personality may be like?

She will be an indoor cat and I'm wondering what sort of personality she'll have

Thanks in advance

Rag dolls are fairly laid back I think. Not sure about BSH though. I suspect as it will technically be a moggy it'll be pot luck. I hope you aren't paying an extortionate price for a non pure bred.

Nobody can tell you with any certainty as she'll be a mix.

Rag dolls are generally quite placid but I don't know much about BSH. A mix could be the perfect combination of both or the worst traits of both - it's just total pot luck

As @Toddlerteaplease says, I hope you're not paying a fortune for what is essentially a moggy.

I've got two BSHes and they're very chilled indeed - they sleep about 20 hours a day then sit in the garden for the other four. They love people and being with you, but aren't ones for sitting on your lap. They're also not very active so prone to putting on weight but they're really lovely, relaxed cats. They sound quite typical of the breed, from what I've heard.

No idea about ragdolls though!

If it is kitten farmed I'd be more worried about how healthy the kitten is. There is no reason to cross a BSH with a Ragdoll. Both a lovely breeds and can be laid back but both have Persian in the mix and that means they can be prone to issues with kidneys.

If this is an accidental mating then I'd also be asking the question why and how much care the kittens have had?

How much are you paying for this moggie? I foster for a rescue charity and we charge £80 for kittens. We know our kittens personalities and are not in it for the money. Take care. I've had cats cost me £4K each in vets bills when things go wrong and things can go wrong very fast with poorly bred and kept kittens. Either go to a reputable breeder or rescue and get cat insurance in place really fast.

Cats are cats and the personality is not really breed specific. Ragdolls and BSH can be more laid back but that is not given. My cats have Bengal in them and they are very different with neurotic and needy and cuddle bug in two sisters.
