I took my cat to the vets a few weeks ago with bleeding gums hes 11 months old. She gave he a antibiotics injection and some painkillers for at home. She said he needs a clean and polish and it looks like gum disease. So plan was to get a voucher from cats protection league and arrange for both to be done at once. So I took him in this morning and a nurse booked him in she said the vet wanted to do bloods on him because his teeth shouldn't be bad at his age. She gave my a statement of break down on charges and the vet told me on last visit she can put some seal on the gum line to stop any problems. The letter says pre op blood and Cat Leukaemia test.
They are all in vets test so not send away if they need to they will ring me this afternoon. I am now terrified that my kitten is really ill and what will happen if he's got Cat Leukaemia. Every body says how small he is but I just think he's small compared to my other cat what's a British blue.
I am wondering if when I first telephoned for an appointment it took 3 days to get in and his teeth did look bad when she looked but a couple of days after all the brown stains on the teeth had gone and his mouth looked normal again so could have the blood caused stains on his teeth at the time. She did question how old he was on the visit saying his teeth should be like that at his age.
Any advice
