Wet cat food recommendations?

I've got a very over weight cat (ex-rescue who arrived half starved to death, but gone the other way under my care!)
She's food OBSESSED and will put herself in situations which are harmful if I try and restrict her food (eg knocking the cooking pans off the gas job while they are cooking so she can eat what's inside - I'm also vegetarian so it's not even food you think was worth stealing for a cat!)
At the moment she gets 2 wet pouches a day and unlimited dry. This has reduced her constant crying for food and raiding the neighbours (inside) bins etc. But she is now a football on legs.

Can anyone recommend a good quality wet food in pouches as I think I should increase her wet pouches and reduce the dry to a diet version?

I can't do raw food - no room in the freezer and it wouldn't be fair on the dog who already thinks the cats food is better than his!

Dry food it's very calorific so it definitely makes sense to feed more wet food and limit the dry.

I can't recommend a specific food - maybe just try with her current wet food at the moment, and feed her little and often and really limit the dry food.

I'd also focus on getting her to be more active, so try engaging her with play or encourage her outside if she has outside access. How about one of those feeding balls for dry food? If she's so keen on food she may take take to it really well.

I've tried getting her to be more active, she just loves staring out the window - but doesn't seem to go out very much (she's got a cat flap)
I'm not sure I can force her to go out more.
I think she's a tiny bit paranoid she'll be shut out forever as she was a stray before.

She does play with toys - she likes winding up the dog, but that's it!
I've tried a feeding cat toy, she loses interest and just yells at whoever's home, or breaks into neighbours houses to raid their bins which is a little embarrassing to say the least!

Mine loves natures menu which is high meat content and grain free. Also blink pouches (he only likes the fish version though!)

I would get advice from your vet.

Dry food should be diet and in weighed quantities. Be careful about adding more wet food that you aren't just adding more calories to replace those lost by swapping to diet Dry.

Trying to make eating take longer is also a good idea with puzzle feeders or slow feeders.

However ultimately you may just have to grow a heart of steel and ignore. Our cattery owner, who also rescues, says that cats who have known hunger often become fat as they just fill up as they are making sure they don't get hungry again. Then it is down to you to be the food police as you have a cat that can't self regulate to a healthy weight.
