Am I being a paranoid kitten parent?

I have a pair of kittens, now 16 weeks (I will oblige with the kitten tax at the end of this!) ziggy is a tortoiseshell and absolutely grand at around 1.8kg and no issues whatsoever.

Pixel (the tabby) on the other hand is giving me the fears. She’s had the squits, put her on chicken, pro-kolin and panacur stint. Things firmed but not entirely back to normal after 5 days of treatment. She seems ‘off’ to me, takes her a bit longer to wake up and when she’s sleepy her 3rd eyelids show slightly. She’s eating… ish. She’ll have little and often and prefers dried food so tends to graze. She’s 1.9kg so has put on weight and is more robust than her sister.

They chase each other around and leap over furniture, play with toys and do the running upside down under the sofa thing. She’s grooming regularly (both herself and her sister)

Took her to the vets today who wasn’t concerned, no temp, no tenderness/bloating, well hydrated, pink gums and happy with weight gain of 300g in 3 weeks.

Still I’m concerned. Am I being paranoid? I’m not a first timer but I lost my last 2 beloved moggies fairly close together in lockdown and I’m wondering if that is making me a bit twitchier than I need to be.

Are they up to date with worming?

3rd eyelids can be related to worms

They’ve just finished a 5 day 1ml liquid per day stint on panacur (today was the last day) to cover worms and gairdia (as per cats protection and vet guidance) so are now deffo up to date and were before but with a non-vet wormer- beaphar syrup which apparently doesn’t catch them all.

Shall i give it a few days to see how the panacur works or would it be expected to have done the trick by now?

No advice, but that pic of them both lying on their back is adorable. And that spotty tummy is cuteness overload!

Cute kittens. No advice either.....but the little one has had lots if changes in diet in a short time. As long as the dry food is a good quality complete food then letting her graze as she wants sounds good. Make sure she has lots of water around and not next to the food. (Don't forget your glass will be the preferred source followed by a dripping tap.)
