Does your cat /older kitten graze or eat twice daily?

I previously had a straightforward cat who ate two regular meals a day morning and night.
Current madame will have a nibble and swan off to groom herself and go exploring. I only put out spoonful of wet and a bit of dry, but she literally grazes as and when.

I have tried removing the plate after thirty mins but she just meows.

Diabetes risk?
I know she's still little (enormous at 7 months old) and up to five meals a day recommended but what do you do?
Thank you

I've always had cats (41 years), always given them 3 pouches per day, and dry food available 24/7. My old boy also has chicken and tuna a few times a week, replacing a couple of the pouches

My girl eats all available food.
She was abandoned as a kitten and didn't have access to food.
When we first had her she would save a mouthful of her dry food until we got home. Now she knows someone will always feed her she eats everything straight away.
That said she has 5 or so meals a day.
Breakfast
Second breakfast
Lunch (via a camera which shoots out food)
Tea (at 4)
Dinner (at 4)
Supper at bedtime.

We have a 16 year old cat and an 8 year old cat. Dry food down all day and they graze. Wet food down at night and they graze on that and I have toi throw it in the morning as it smells. DH also gives them treats throughouyt the day. Older DCat likes prawns and scallops from Aldi. Hmm

They are all different, my current cat ignores the food when I put it down and then when I get home it's gone, she grazes when she is hungry. She is tiny and not fat.
I've got a new kitten coming so I don't really know how I am going to manage the kidney diet for the older one and the kitten diet for the younger one, I may have to keep them separated at first then give them both kidney diet - it won't harm a healthy cat to eat that but it's a bit expensive.

Microchip feeders maybe and then they can only eat their own food?
