Will our kitten always be this way or can we teach him?

We have a 13 week old Bengal and we are all absolutely in love with him.

He's very different from the previous moggies that we have owned in the past (who were also lovely, just different).

Thing is - he eats everything.

He's like a puppy when it comes to food. He will leap up, want to eat your food constantly. He will eat whatever is on your plate.

I've heard Bengals are similar to dogs.

So will he learn after we repeatedly put him on the floor?
I'd rather not shut the poor thing out of the room.

@NeverDropYourMoonCup

Mine are pitas when they're on cheaper cat food. Give them the posher stuff (gluten free, high meat content) along with some GF, high meat crunches and they sleep though all but the preparing of raw meat and fish in the kitchen.
I've been giving him Felix, or whiskers.

Maybe he's too posh for that?!

I can see the Bengal markings
now op, i wasn't casting aspersions on your lovely boy, just getting excited that my moggy night be part bengal, and it might explain why she is so darn greedy!

I have several cats, full and part bengals and part maine coons.
My baby full bengal is the hardest kitten we've ever owned. He's slowly destroying my house. He steals any food, empty's food waste absolutely anything.
He's on royal caine kitten dry food, just left down, 1 lillys kitchen in morning and 1 cheap pouch in evening. I've just started him on sardines as my others enjoy this but the plan is to go raw .
He has a amazing personality and is full of energy.
Good luck. My older half bengal calmed down about 3ish.
Whiskas and felix are bit like a McDonald's for kids

I thought it was a Bengal trait. Neither of my other cats did this.

He's a cheeky little one!

Funnily enough, this little one has been far easier to cope with than my others!

The only issue we have is the food thing.

My other cats were absolute terrors just as you described but they were common or garden moggies.

I've been blaming his Bengal side for his habits but perhaps it's just his tiny personality!

I am still teaching one of my kittens (pure moggie) manners around MY FOOD. She is quite keen to join in with any meal or snack we have. Attempts to get in the fridge. The list of non-fruit/veg things that she won't eat is pretty short.

One of my cats likes chocolate, come to think of it.

I'm sure yours can be conditioned OP, to not always try to eat off your plate, just takes time.
