If your cat brought up yellow bile, how did it end?

(First of all, he was rushed to vet a&e today, got a basic check-up, an x-ray and a ultrasound scan and I am quite a bit poorer this month)
Our new shelter cat has come home, and on the second morning he regurgitated his rather large dinner(s) from the night before. He has been bringing up bile, not too much, every few hours and hasn’t eaten today.
The emergency vet couldn’t find an obstruction on either the xray or the ultrasound, his temperature was only slightly raised, wasn’t yet dehydrated, just tired and sad. They did find lots if gas collected in his system, but also noted that any obstruction in the small gas area wouldn’t show up on the screen.
We are going back tomorrow for another scan and blood tests etc.
Has anyone had their cat bringing up a deep, golden bile (not brown, not orange, not lime green) (sorry tmi), and food remnants were only really in the first round? Was your cat ok, what treatment did your cat need, what happened?
Please help, I am so worried he will die, I lost my 15-year old tomcat a few years ago and it was very traumatic. It still is.
Before he came I scoured the room for small pieces like lego, hairbands, and small parts, there are no toxins in the room, old logs removed, it could only be a mouse he found or i am scared that the cooked chicken I gave him may have had a bone left, (though i checked with my hands beforehand). No bones showed up in the scans. There is neither soil nor plants in the rooms.
He did eat his wet food voraciously when he arrived , and was previously a stray, and is so sweet and lovely I am distraught.

All suggestions appreciated for our second trip to the vets tomorrow, anything the vet could check for. Because he is new I don’t even have insurance yet but we can painfully manage these costs. He is hiding now because he is poorly, and didn’t like going to the vet, yesterday he was so very cuddly. I love him already.

@AppleButter

That is good news, although it sounds like he has a bit of a journey ahead of him still, bless him.
I can totally understand how worried you have been.
I really hope that he starts to turn a corner very soon.

What is his name? Or had you not got round to naming him yet?

Just an update (I couldn’t get onto mumsnet as my phone needed an update and I couldn’t open any threads)
The cat was extremely ill and almost died. He didn’t just have Giardiasis, but acute pancreatitis, with a nasty bacterium, which explains the bile. He must have been ill for quite a while. The treatment was successful , he came back to me a month ago, weakened but lovely, and I have nursed him back to strength. We were so glad he made it, because it was close. He is absolutely perfect and I adore him, ( but he is constantly trying to kill our other cat, I will put it on another thread)

So the answer was acute bacterial pancreatitis, which needs urgent treatment and a drip. So when bile is vomited and the anti emetic doesn't work, back to the vet the same hour and put him on a drip.

Thanks so much for the positive update @AppleButter

That is excellent news and well done to your vets and to you for getting him through this terrible illness.

He looks beautiful!
Has he got a name yet? xx

I didn’t see this when you first posted but have just read the whole thread.

Thank goodness he came to you, someone who was so quick to get him treatment and that wouldn’t give up on him. I’m so glad he is now home and hopefully you’ll have many happy years together. He’s beautiful. ❤️

I hope your other cat is ok. 😬 Hopefully they’ll become friends.
