Why do you lie in the garden under a bush in the rain like a poor homeless kitty? Why do you pick that bush, the one that doesn’t stop you getting wet? You’re literally 5 feet from the cat flap and the warm dry house!! Gah ….

@soddingkitten that is an excellent observation but I know the truth is that she'll be instantly alerted if one us goes downstairs and even vaguely close to the food cupboard! She does this half dead /starvation act every day from about 4pm..dinner is at 6pm.

Why do you not bother washing when you come in from the garden covered in mud, slugs, leaves, and goodness knows what else, and then spend two hours frantically washing yourself when I put a few drops of odourless flea treatment on the back of your neck?

And why do you wait until I've just ordered a ginormous multipack before deciding that you no longer like your favourite brand of cat food?

He's still very missed (and my dcs keep going on about getting another cat!) I actually still have the expensive cat house and some other bits that I haven't been able to let go of.
I had another cat that crossed over with him, (I did love her, but she was a very independent being!) - but he was the one that really got into my heart because we suited each other IYSWIM.
I'll get another when the time is right, and I can give another cat the time it needs. It will probably be another rescue (I always seem to get the lame ducks - but they work out for me.) I'm a sucker for the ones that have been there a long time - but I need to visit them at the centre and make a connection so they're going to be okay with me.
Sorry to ramble on!

Why do you ignore the toys I buy you and instead prefer to rip up important bills/letters you manage to hunt out?

I had a car when I was a child who didn’t like me reading. He would sit in front of the book so I couldn’t read!

WHY do you refuse to eat anything other than one brand of fancy expensive cat food (and even then it can only be the flakes in gravy and absolutely not chicken flavour) but happily catch and munch down 3 daddy long legs in a row this evening?
