Greedy kitten

I have some lovely 18 week kittens but one of them is noticeably bigger than the other and will steal his brother's food if I don't supervise. Is there anything I should be doing? I'm feeding them both the max they should get according to the food instructions (Wainwrights).

They are getting neutered next week so I'll ask the vet then too.

Pic included hopefully ☺️

I’d just feed him what he wants, they grow so fast & he’s obviously got an appetite on him.

I would feed them separately so mealtimes don't become a source of stress for the one being stolen off - you don't want them to start fighting over their food.

I've never really limited what I feed kittens - is he on wet food or dry? Do you leave biscuits out 24/7 for them to have a nibble on between meals?

I'm doing wet food 6am and 4pm and dry food available all the time.

The smaller one is also more likely to leave some of his wet food and he is the fightiest of the two so I'm thinking perhaps he doesn't need as much and he'd puck his brother back if he wanted it all.

I will try feeding them separately

Thanks both of you 🙂

I'm sure it will all work out! I have three cats of varying ages/sizes and they all seem to find a balance without fighting.

I've heard that you can't overfeed kittens.
