Leaving kitten at home overnight

Kitten is 6 months. Planning on spending the night away from home, we'll probably be gone 36 hours in total. Options for kitten care are having someone come to our home either popping in for a bit or staying for the night (I know the house would still be familiar but would she get scared if there's someone unfamiliar at home instead of her family?) She goes outside already but will pop back in regularly for cuddles so I'm sure she'll notice when we're gone, I always feel bad when we go out during the dayBlush. I'm not sure which is the best option.......is 6 months to young to leave? What would you do?

I’d have someone come in twice to feed and cuddle her. I usually use Cat In A Flat, and all the sitters I’ve had are real cat whisperers.

I leave my cat overnight without a sitter, but only for 24 hours - any longer and I get someone in every morning and evening. More than three days and I get someone to house sit - he’s very independent but likes to have someone at home overnight to cuddle up to.

It’s only one night and she’s a cat not a baby!
She’ll be fine on her own.
Just get someone to pop in if you’re that worried..

You will need to have someone visit. Our cat is 5 and very sociable. We left him once for 24 hours recently and he was very upset (grumpy, antisocial and hadn't eaten) when we came back. Much happier when we had a cat loving neighbour check in on him daily to feed him and play and cuddles when we were away for a week.

Get a cat sitter. I have someone come in morning/evening when I go away, and we've done that since our kitten was five months old (when we left her for a week). It's fine :)

Definitely a cat sitter to feed and cuddle. Leave on some light music. Cats are social creatures if they’re raised to be. And kittens are still babies.

I couldn’t leave our kitten that long. Please get someone in morning and night for each that you are gone.

Cat/house sitting site. There are others, but this is the one I know because I house and cat sit. It's a very short sit you're after but you might be lucky OP. I love being with other people's cats!

Thank you.
We will have someone stay the whole time instead of just popping in I think. She's so cuddly and friendly (and little) so I was getting worried but I suppose it's only one night and as long as she has company I'm sure she'll be okay.

@Datsandcogs I meant leaving her as in our family leaving her not leaving her alone completely and my question was wether to have someone stay the whole time or just pop in-I'm just not very good at phrasing things Smile

Sorry, misunderstood.

My kitten wasn’t too interested in human contact through the day, but would greet with a purr after we’d been out. Ours was affectionate in the early morning. HOWEVER she’s just come back from a stay at a Cattery, she’s a different creature, far more affectionate, much more likely to come when called, more cuddly and a lot more vocal. Before the Cattery I would say a visit at either end of the day would be plenty, now she’d rather someone about most of the time.
