We are new to cat owning. In the last two weeks our 11 month old kitten has brought 2 live shrews, 3 live mice and one live sparrow into the kitchen.

We’ve saved the sparrow, one the shrews and two of the mice. The others have been entirely eaten.

Is there anyway to stop this? We new cats might bring dead animals to the back door mat, but we hadn’t pictured a “rewilding” of our house.

You can keep them in between dusk and dawn. I wouldn’t use a collar, the vets on here are against them and they know what their talking about.

That’s a thought. The action does seem to centre around twilight.

Getting her in will be difficult, though.

Cats are crepuscular, which means most active at dawn and dusk. You could maybe try amending meal times so she naturally comes in at the time you want; Dreamie pack shaking can also work!

Get her in at dusk and lock the cat flap so she's in overnight. Or, when she's out and you're in, lock the cat flap so she can't bring anything disgusting inside without you noticing what she's carrying Wink

Cats are most active at dawn and dusk so they're the main times to watch out for. So maybe get her in at 4-5pm (or after work) and don't let her back out until 8am or so.
