Going from 5 cats to 7?

We currently have 5 indoor cats, 2 british shorthair ages 2 and 13, 2 ocicat brothers aged 8 and a beautiful little moggie also 8.

A friend is rehoming her 2 indoor only British shorthair sisters, both 2 years old. Would we be mad to consider it? We've a very large house and the cats have access to a catio so can spend time outside. They're beautiful and I'm very much a heart over head person Blush

Quite mad.
But as you have 5 already, 2 more won't make much difference!
Seriously though, how well integrated are your current residents? Have they taken well to newcomers?
None of these cats are used to being alone, so potentially more relaxed about living in a cat colony.

Well yes but it is a 40% increase in the cat population and would mean we humans would be outnumbered Grin we're very lucky to have a very sociable chilled cat family, I think it helps that they have space to take themselves away if they don't fancy company

If you have space and can afford 7x food, vets bills etc, then you could try them and see how they get on?
Young BSH won't be hard to re-home if they don't fit in.

@Beamur I'm not sure Wink husband has said maybe, if we get another automatic litter tray Grin
