Hi everyone!
I get my kitten In 4 weeks and am currently adapting the house for her. I have two dc and my stairs go straight into my lounge, so I can't shut a door to stop her coming up in the middle of the night and I'm worried she will wake them up.
Would it be ok for her to be shut in the kitchen and conservatory at night? She would have full access to both rooms, she has a large fluffy rug in the kitchen with a cat tree, litter tray, timed feeder for night feeding, water, toys, a cat hammock for the radiator in the winter, blankets, plus I can put another tree and bed in the conservatory also. So she will have access to all the things she needs and a decent space to roam about in! We get up about 5/6 with the children anyway, and don't go to bed until 11/12 - so it would only really be a max 6 hours she was in there.
Does this sound ok?

Er, yes.
My children have less perks.

Thank you - I was honestly expecting to be told I shouldn't be allowed animals and am cruel 😂never had a cat and am clearly over thinking this massively, just want to do the right thing!

It's absolutely fine Grin

Ours are shut downstairs at night - they have the run of the living room/dining room and kitchen, access to food, water and their litter trays.

If I come down to pee in the night, they're normally all curled up in a pile on their blankets on the sofa sleeping! They're perfectly happy.
