Best cat litter that doesn't track everywhere

I have been looking everywhere for some new cat litter, I am totally fed up with bits of litter everywhere (my puppy also likes to eat the bits so it's probably not that good for him either).

We use Catsan but I find it is often quite dusty, some packs are nice big bits that catch in the tray and other packs are awful.

I just wondered what you all would recommend, I would like something environmentally friendly if possible but I think there are very few of these.

Thanks

We use Cat's Best litter, but the pellets not the original - the original sticks DCat's long fur, the pellets don't. It's wood, doesn't smell, and is dead easy to clean.

Thanks, I will check that out, I used an Amazon basics wood one before and it was really good then was discontinued.

Boy a honeycomb mat from Amazon. It traps the litter so it can't track all over the house

I have a top open litter tray, so they can't kick litter out the door. You still get the odd bit on the floor, but not as much.

I use worlds best and honestly I wouldn’t go back

Yes it’s pricey but it’s so worth the price

PugInTheHouse · 04/05/2021 16:26

I have a honeycomb mat that is supposed to catch the bits but the catsan I am using just seems so dusty so smaller bits track everywhere.

@Soubriquet I have tried the world's best but I thought it smelt really odd. I maybe need to try a different one, I used the multiple cat extra strength clumping one.

I have a hooded tray, not sure I have seen the top open ones? Are they the ones with rims round them?

this is the one I use

There is an odd coco fibre scent for a couple of days but that leaves quickly

I also use a hooded cat tray with a flap. Find it doesn’t track as much at all

I always get wood cat litters. You can get a big bag from pets at home which isn't a bad price but I've also used the supermarket own brand wood litters and they aren't bad either.
I prefer them to things like catsan as I find them very dusty and even if they say non-clumping, everything sticks to the bottom of the litter tray so I'm not a fan

I have this top opening litter tray www.petsathome.com/shop/en/pets/pets-at-home-hop-in-cat-litter-box

It's brilliant. I use it with Pets at Home wood pellet litter and only the occasional pellet escapes.

Thanks everyone, I can give them all a try!!

Well, off the back of this thread I bought some of the best cat litter in the world. What I wasn't expecting was my dog to start eating it! I've had to rig up a barrier to stop her! Luckily it was clean as the cat hadn't used it yet, and she isn't a dog or cat poo eater like some dogs are (she prefers horse, sheep and rabbit poo!) but still!
