Inspired by a similar thread in the Doghouse topic (and because DH is a bit fed up of me going on... and on... and on about it), can we have a thread about how wonderful our cats are?

We got our boy from a rescue 2 years ago when he was 18 months. He had been given up by his previous family, we don't know why. Sometimes I can't believe how lucky we were that they did that.

He sleeps on our bed every night and never wakes us up or asks for food at 4am (as all his predecessors did Smile). He goes for walks with us round the neighbourhood, chats to everyone (including dogs!) and has friends at most of the houses on our street. When we get home he is often sitting at the front door waiting for us. He loves head rubs and giving nose bumps. He's incredibly tolerant of the 3 small humans in the house and has a very close friendship with DD(7). He loves pancakes and, when we make them for breakfast, he sits in the toddler's booster chair and awaits his portion patiently. I've had lots of cats over the course of my life and they've all been my favourite in their own way but he really is a special little soul.

Anyone else?

Beautiful cats. Some are very in-sync with their person, it’s like having a little bit of your heart roaming around doing cat stuff.
This is just about the loveliest and most perfect description of certain cats 💕

We have ginger George, big massive softy that we adopted 4 years ago along with his (non blood) brother Rebus - we sadly lost rebus 4 weeks ago today in a car accident.

He's come out of his shell a little since losing rebus as r was a bit of a bully with G.

We also have Maisie, a 10 month old ex farm kitten who we rescued last week, she is almost identical in looks to rebus.

George still isn't 100% sure about Maisie but they are definitely getting closer and there is less hissing now

I have a lovely stripey cat from the RSPCA. She was very wary and aggressive (behaviour related to treatment by previous owners).
It's taken me 4 years to get her to the stage where she will curl next to me and snooze for hours. We communicate in catspeak, and she comes running when I arrive from being out for a few hours. I love her unreservedly.
