So excited, we are picking up a new boy tomorrow from a local rescue Smile our lovely girl, Tabitha, arrived from the same centre a few months ago and now she's getting a new friend to boss around! I spent 7 miserable cat-free years with my abusive ex who HATES cats, and now I will have two!

Ellmau · 11/03/2021 22:06

He's beautiful. I hope they make friends soon!

PoorEliza · 12/03/2021 07:47

This is my little dot Tabitha. I'm worried that Wolfie might eat her Shock

How do you persuade your cats to wear bow ties? Grin

Ellmau · 12/03/2021 08:26

Much more likely Tabitha will boss Wolfie around, OP...

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/03/2021 08:41

Ah beautiful cats Grin

Tabitha looks like she holds all the aces there .

Our female cat ( we have bro/sis) is the bossy one , is it a Female Cat Thing ?

Allergictoironing · 12/03/2021 08:54

My DSis had a large boy and an absolutely tiny girl. The boy could be an absolute terror (one nephew still carries the scars Grin) and until ill health hit him he ruled the neighbourhood. The girl was a sweet little cuddly thing, he biggest triumph was catching & killing a small worm (though she swore it was a large snake).

He would go bouncing up to her all Tiggerish and she would take one look & a single swipe, and he would saunter off pretending he never tried to play. She definitely was the boss!

PoorEliza · 12/03/2021 08:56

I think they are so taken with how distinguished they look in their bow ties that they are happy to keep them on Grin Wolfie still not eating much, I keep taking food to him and he eats it then but won't come and get it...should I stop being his geisha and let him come and find it himself?

I specifically got a litter tray especially for Wolfie as per advice. He's completely ignored this and just done an absolute stonker in Tab's litter tray and is now sat on the couch looking smug (and quite relieved as this is the first poo since he got here - that I'm aware of, anyway...). So she is now furious and has just pissed in Wolfie's tray. They are worse than the children.

I'm just amazed the two are compatible. :)

He's gone missing. I can't find him anywhere in the house. He must have got out somehow when I've gone into the garden but I really don't know how. I've put his litter tray outside and keep going out and shouting for him. I feel terrible. His last owners got rid because he'd been rehomed and they wouldn't keep him in so he kept disappearing and they got fed up having to go and collect him. So I'm guessing he's somehow got out and done a runner. We're about 15 miles from where he lived previously. I'll give it a bit longer then put some pics up on all the local groups, at least he is quite noticeable. He's also chipped and registered to us. I'm bloody gutted. Kids are going to be devastated.

Get it on your local Facebook page & alert the local vets he’s out.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 12/03/2021 13:50

Oh "No". Sad Praying you find him.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/03/2021 15:24

Oh poor boy !
Have you double searched with a torch ( reflects on their eyes )
My Brothers cat went missing when I was loooking after her , I was 1000% sure she hadn't got out but I couldn't find her . She was tucked into a tiny corner that we only found because DS took a photo on his phone . We couldn't access where she was
No idea why she hid , maybe to age me ten years .

Your boy is still very new and maybe he's hiding from Tabitha?

PoorEliza · 12/03/2021 15:31

Jeeeeeeeez, so it turns out that the little sod was hiding underneath a pile of laundry. He's been in the same room as me all along. My 4 year old found him the minute she got in from school. I am an emotional wreck, he is not remotely sorry.

Little swine Grin

Great news that he's safe and well . It does make you question every time you open a door though !

Cats do do remorse (so mine tell me )

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 12/03/2021 16:01

Very pleased you merely mislaid him - I did suspect something similar might be the case.
Are you sure this isn't revenge for the bow tie? Grin

PoorEliza · 12/03/2021 16:02

I feel quite ridiculous 😩 but at least he's ok. I think this one is going to cause trouble.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 12/03/2021 16:06

😂😂😂.Little fiend. You should change his name to Dennis. Dennis the Menace

TheLongRider · 12/03/2021 17:25

It's a black cat thing. They're very good at hiding. I'm glad he's found again.

Allergictoironing · 12/03/2021 18:08

I "lost" both of mine a few times when they were still restricted to the one room - turned out they had worked out how to get INSIDE the sofa as the back is velcroed panels.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/03/2021 19:00

Someone on here lost a black cat in a disused old fashioned bread oven.
