Thyronorm - how long to see a difference for diarrhea ?

I'm trying to help a local stray, long story short is he's been diagnosed as hyperthyroid and prescribed Thyronorm. He's on the 4th full day but still has a diarrhea problem. I'll speak to the vet in the morning although he's not due back to see her for a week, but just wondering if anyone has any experience to share as to how long it took to see an improvement. His appetite is better and he seems happy enough, just this ongoing diarrhea issue is a problem.

If the diarrhoea is due to the hyperthyroidism, it can take a few weeks to settle. But sometimes it won’t, and you need to try different treatments. Sometimes, the diarrhoea will be due to another issue, and further investigation may be required.

Exactly what @TabletHelpPlease said. Thyronorm or any hyperthyroid medication is not an instant fix it takes a while for there to be a reduction in thyroid hormone which is why bloods aren't repeated till 3-4weeks after starting.
But many cats also have intercurrent disease IBD and lymphoma are two common ones that can also cause the diarrhoea.

Thankyou, sounds like I was being over optimistic with expectations.

I expect if it has seen a vet, that worms have been treated? Digestive upsets can also be helped with cat probiotics like Purina Fortiflora. Remember that some (but not all!) cats cannot digest milk, which can cause diarrhoea

Unfortunately there is currently a paucity of evidence to support the use of probiotics in cats and dogs.

Thanks, yes he has been treated for worms (he's previously spent a fair bit of time in my garden so he's been wormed and flead regularly when I did my own). His initial treatment included probiotics (Vetpro paste) because one of the neighbours had been feeding him all sorts of rubbish so we were hoping it was a digestive issue that might settle once he was on a stable and regular diet but it didnt help at all.

It doesn't seem as bad today (still not solid though) but he's seeing the vet on Friday. If I can get his thyroid problem settled he has chance of a rescue place so really hoping the digestion issue can be resolved too or it might scupper his chances.
