Tesco cat food

Hello, I have four cats. Three of them will eat absolutely any form of cat food (and as much of it as they can get their paws on). However one will not eat anything else but Tesco fish flavoured wet food. I’m wondering if this stuff is okay for him, I know Wiskas ect are largely regarded as the McDonalds of cat food. I keep wondering if the cat food is more harmful to him. I tried him on it one week to see if he’d eat it because I’d literally tried every other brand!
I think it’s just because of the price compared to other cat food I think it’s just got rubbish in it but maybe I’m just being snobby and it’s just good value.

Mine will only eat the Tesco fish stuff as well so they get that along with really good quality biscuits. They're not fussy with biscuits but i dont want to feed them only dry food so I figured the Tesco stuff was at least getting moisture into their diet.

My old boy loved Tesco own brand fishy flavour and he lived to be 18 until he died from a blood clot. I'd say it was ok!

Great thank you. Maybe it just tastes extra good to cats!

My late cat ate nothing but the cheapest of cat food (so Tesco's own brand, essentially) and no biscuits... and lived to 22.

Cats need wet and dry food, though, essentially - the wet for their hydration and the dry because it helps their teeth. We have a 13 year old cat and two 18 week old kittens who're fed both - as and when they feel like it. All three are healthy (touch wood) and happy so far.

Count yourself lucky. Mine only eat felix agail. But then Dh would have a fit if he knew how much it could be with the more expensive stuff.

Harry will currently only eat Country Hunter at £9.99. I'm sure the furry reprobate is trying to bankrupt me!

I would start mixing a tiny amount of what your others eat into it, then very slowly increasing. Cats don’t need grain, only protein.
