Looking for a Christmas tree that the cats won't eat!

I've seen cashmere Christmas trees but it seems it's just the tips that are cashmere and the rest is the plastic/pvc branches that they love to chew on and eat.

Had to take off the lower branches last year to stop them eating it and it looked awful and bare!

Suppose I should be grateful mine have never done the pounce on/tap the baubles off shennanigans but I really do worry about how they could get ill from eating the artificial trees!

Does anywhere sell pet-friendly/safe/non-chewable full Christmas trees?!

I'd like to know the answer to this too, if there is such a thing, please? We just haven't got a tree since getting our beautiful cat, because he eats everything.

Citrus spray?

Also wondering the answer to this!
We’re looking at a parasol tree..?!

We just have live potted Christmas trees outside with the LED lights connected through windows... and the baubles are plastic ones that are basically coloured ping pong balls so unbreakable. Works pretty well and for some reason outdoor trees don't get eaten. The rest of the year they just sit in the garden getting bigger...

@moonbells that sounds really pretty, but we're in a shared stair and not sure how the neighbours would react to a tree outside the front.

Do you have to have one?.

theotherfossilsister · 15/11/2020 21:28

no, we don't normally, would just be nice this year, what with not being able to do the normal festive stuff like seeing our families, you know. Not a big deal compared to keeping Dcat alive though.

Can you get a large floor to ceiling cat tree and decorate it with toys that the cats can safely play with, and fasten LED lights around the top of the walls so they are unreachable by tiny paws? String up baubles along walls too?
