Grain Free Wet Food

I have been feeding my lad Webbox senior pouches, which he seems to like, although fusses over one flavour from the pack every now and then! I know Webbox isn't the highest quality in the wet cat food variety, but I have tried the others over time - Lilly's Kitchen, Blink, Natures Menu, Applaws, Hi-Life etc, but to be honest, he hasn't been particularly keen, and so I either ended up giving some away, or putting out a dish outside to get it used up, and they aren't cheap options when you are watching the pennies. Webbox is reasonably priced and does at least seem better than Felix and Whiskas, which my lad has gone off recently, especially Felix, which I am sure the ingredients have changed. It seems that Sheba Fine Flakes is grain free, but wonder why there isn't a senior version, so is it ok to feed this to a senior cat? I need something that isn't overly expensive that I can get in the shop, to alternate in with the Webbox a bit. Don't want to order anything in bulk online, as my lad is quite fickle at times! He eats a good quality dry food, but does pester for wet food, but if he carries on being awkward, he will end up on dry food only! My last cat lived to 19, and a big part of his life, were in the days of 400g cans, that you got about 3 servings from, covered and put in the fridge! He also had Go-Cat and Brekkies etc, and then he went onto senior pouches when they became available, just Felix and Whiskas, and he never had any health problems at all. I think the pet food market has become too large, with too many choices and options - years ago, all this pet food didn't exist! :-)

My cats have sensitive tums and one is also very fussy.
I've done really well with True Instinct which they absolutely loved and literally brought the one who wouldn't eat back to life.
However after a few years they've started going off it a bit and after a lot of searching discovered Encore which is literally just chunks of fish and meat in broth, so no grain or nasties. And lots of interesting flavours.
Anything else I tried in a patty they didn't like and sauce and jelly upsets their tums.
Both True Instinct and Encore are around £1 per 70g pack. So not cheap but one can last a full day for two cats if I also give them dried food.
