Do anyone else's cats cause as much trouble as the Toddlergirls ?

With the exception of @PinkSparklyPussyCat 's Harry and @clientlistqueens Ollie?
I love them to bits and wouldn't swap them for anything. But neither Snorg and the late Fatty would get any thing standard. It's always rare and expensive. £21k in vets Bills is a bit much!
Touch wood, Cheddar has behaved her self so far. But she's only 8, there's time!

At the minute we have 4 cats and have owned in total 6 over the last 18 years with no real issues until we adopted our boy in October 2017. He has been lost twice, regularly gets locked in garages, has an ugly feud going with 2 neighbouring nemesis and has cost a fortune in vets bills as he is injured at least once a month. At the moment his nose is all scabby but not sure what has happened to him.
It's a good job we love him, never owned a cat with such a propensity for getting in to trouble.

Cheddar is lying on my duvet! What trouble can I expect??

Other than 'elderly care' (kidneys ££££) mine weren't any trouble at all.

Miss them loads! I won't have any in this house as the road is lethal & I don't want them to be 'house cats'

We’ve got one ruffian who is always getting into fights with his nemesis. He’s always in trouble.

The other three have never been a moment’s trouble for us.

How are Snorg's ears?

Toddlerteaplease · 17/10/2020 11:36

@MJMG2015 she'll wake you up making biscuits on your neck, and drooling on your cheek.
@Pelleas doesn't need any treatment unless it stated to bother her, then might need laser treatment.

Vinocat was described as "a complex case" by a vet at the referral practice we went to. The vet we saw at our local practice for her final 18 months made her a case study for one of their training days (and also did at lot of learning herself from it all) and any students who came in were given a look at her history and all her issues. Thing is character wise she was such a calm natured cat. I can't remember the total bill she ran up in her latter years.
Current lad is often up to mischief and it seems to have been his misdemeanors that have led to vet visits: fight injuries (which he started as apparently he likes a scrap) and eating something which made him ill (well this is the theory).
Cats ay? Who'd have them?!

My late older girl had some expensive illnesses like pancreatitis and all her teeth removed. My current three haven’t had too many vets bills, but do seem to cost me in other ways.

One likes to chew everything he can, door handles, furniture, clothes, it’s like he thinks he’s a dog. He also likes to bring in live mice and frogs to try and keep as pets (he only has outside access to an enclosure so who knows what he would catch if he had freedom to roam). He caught his first bird this year while in the garden with us, luckily it was unharmed after I chased after him and he released it in the house.

The other has merrily ripped holes in the stair carpet and has now moved onto the living room carpet, and this one refuses to wash so he’s also quite smelly. At least he is now (mostly) out of the pooing in my bath stage.

The girl seems to be allergic to something and a few times a year works on mutilating herself and removing large patches of hair. Plus she’s rather good at releasing her anal glands when she’s annoyed with me.

Love them to bits, but sometimes they can be such hard work
