My 19 week old kitten is a little sweetheart I love him to pieces but I have one problem he is addicted to cotton buds!!Grin yes the type you clean your ears with, I normally wouldn't mind as I'd take them off him but he's becoming quite aggressive when me or my partner try to take them off him! He growls hisses and scratchesConfused he's not good aggressive or play aggressive but this really concerns me as he's normally very loving and it's almost impossible to take them off him when he's being so aggressive. Any advice? Do I leave him to it or does that run a risk of choking or is there something I can do to teach him not to be aggressive? The only other thing he was aggressive over was when he stole a cheesy puff crisp out of my packet but by the time I tried to take it off him he'd eaten itGrin

How is he getting access to the cotton buds???? Surely the simplest solution is just to put them away in a drawer??

My kittens go wild for Nurf gun bullets and hair bobbles. One will hiss and growl if you try to get near her when she has found one! They are just being possessive over their 'finds'.

We try to put away the things we don't want them to have - either because they are ours or because they might pose a danger. But if you have to take it try distraction....drop a ping pong ball nearby...our like those and the noise gets their attention.

And keep the cotton buds in a cupboard.

I wouldn't worry - just use them as a toy! When my beast was a kitten he'd play fetch with cotton buds and rolled up paper receipts - he wasn't interested in the numerous interactive cat toys we'd bought!
