Urgent kitten advice

I have a kitten who is ten weeks old, been home two weeks. Settled brilliantly and has been eating great a mixture of whiskas and AVA wet/dry. The reason for the mix is that she was weaned on whiskas and I want to use a different food eventually. The last day/two she keeps getting poo on her legs and it looks like its because its slightly loose. She is otherwise perfectly well but hasn't seen a vet yet. Is this something to worry about and any ideas how to calm it down? Instinct would be to go back to 100 percent whiskas as it is less rich for now.

When was she last wormed?

It's been two weeks so this is something I'm a bit concerned about. When I booked them in for a vet checkup they said they won't worm them until they've been weighed but thats a week away yet.

If the loose stool is a day or so after a change in food then I would change back for a couple of days and then more slowly this time, introduce a gradual change. Follow vets advice re working as still very young.

Worming (phone prefers working!)

Thanks, I just wonder if she can't tolerate the richer food just yet. It's only very slight but distressing for her as she's long haired and hard to clean!

My kitten is one now and we took him to vets with runny tummy when he was younger. Vet gave us pancaur. He is also long hair and when he is asleep I try and chop a bit of fur off from around his bottom to keep him tidy.

@chocolatespiders I had considered doing that, I think she'll definitely need the hair kept short to help her out a bit

A flannel and warm water are also good to have on standby!!
