How do you store dry cat food?

We bulk buy dry cat food in 10kg bags. Unfortunately my dd opened a new one this morning and completely ripped the bag so thinking we should actually buy a proper storage bin for it.
Currently using an old brabantia with a broken lid and leaving sack in there but now can't do this as it's too ripped.
What do other people do? I'd like it to be a nice container as it's in the kitchen so don't want to look at anything too ugly! Grin

I use a general storage bin (the square type), a friend of mine who had loads of dogs would use pretty coloured half sized dustbins.

But the most common I've seen is a bog standard kitchen bin, you can get those in all sizes up to 50l and get ones either matching your existing bin or (safer IMO) something in a different colour.

Thanks allergic- I was thinking about a bog standard bin but dh pointed out it wouldn't be airtight.... maybe I could put in a bin liner...?

Most of ours seems to get stored in the cat Wink

Search 'blue plastic barrel'

I've got a giant curver pet food storage thing. It takes a 10kg bag easily and is slim so it fits in my tiny kitchen.

I don't think that it being air tight is an issue. I have the dry dog food in a storage box from Aldi which definitely isn't airtight and it seems to stay crunchy. Not that I've tried it, I'm going by the noise SoupDogg Makes as he wolfs it down.

Tiny flat, so we bought this because it lives beside the sofa.

Seemed a lot of money at the time, but it blends in with the furniture and it’s good quality.

I use those plastic containers for cereal

Meant to say, I also get the big 10kg bags for my pair - except sometimes you can get a 12kg for the price of a 10kg at Zooplus Grin. Never had it going soggy in 4 years of storing it that way.

I’ve just bought this from amazon to store cat litter. Expensive - but omg it is amazing and perfect. Would also store dry food!
