How to get kitten to take worming tablet?

I adopted a kitten 2 months ago (Mitten) and he’s great but I’m struggling to get his worming tablets into him. They’re a preventative measure - he hasn’t had worms (to my knowledge). The first time (as advised by the vet) I ground it up and put it into his Wet food but he ate everything but the bits of tablet. As a treat before bedtime I always give him a small amount of cat milk and he always cleans the bowl. So I tried putting the ground up tablet in one evening’s milk - but he lapped up all the milk and left behind the tablet bits. Any advice??? I’m a first time cat owner so I don’t really have a clue 🤷🏻‍♀️ Is there any other worming alternative?

I've resorted to the one you put on the neck. Mines the only cat I've everhad who won't open her mouth if you touch each side with thumb & forefinger. She gets into blind terror mode so as she's timid anyway I'm not putting her thru that.
