I think I'm
'Concerned protector' paranoid about my charges!

Definitely concerned protector. Paranoid enough about safety that I only considered cats who needed to be indoor only!

Ashycat doesn't hunt anything, except the sweet spot on the bed, these days. In her young days, she was a prime mouser and was thoroughly encouraged in that. Birds, no. She had enough mice to sort out.

Concerned Protector.

Or Helicopter Mom.

Probably both.

Bargebill19 · 07/09/2020 19:27

Concerned protector. Mine are all indoor cats, allowed out only on harness and lead with strict human supervision.

Sentos · 07/09/2020 19:39

I’m fine with dcat hunting, though have put a bell on to give the furry things a chance. She has only once caught a bird though, and once I praised open her jaws it flew away. I think I would feel differently if she was killing birds.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/09/2020 20:48

Freedom defender because it was never his fault.

Same as Sentos here. We get regular mouse presents despite the bell. Only one bird to date though.

So, tolerant guardian meets conscientious caretaker?
