So, you know one of the less attractive aspects of Cat Slavery is when they wander in and yak some a frothy spit grassball....

I'm sure all your cats do this so don't try and pretend otherwise Grin

I know they like to potter out and eat grass , then wander in, usyally where I'm sitting (so I get to clean it up ) and do that hunched up eurgh eurgh thing .

Projectile out a stream of foamy spit and a few blades of grass .
No fur balls (yet)

My DS said " They do that a lot"

But I don't think it's a that much. How often is too often?
(There's no blood , very rarely food , and always done in a place which will be noticed for effect ...like on our bed . DH side luckily )

They always carefully traverse the kitchen floor and do it on the first available bit of carpet in our house.

To be fair they do it outdoors more often than in. Probably about once a month indoors (between 2 of them). The noise is pretty gross though as well as the mess.

Ha ! Yes,
Though mine like the centre stage of the kitchen floor .
We sometimes find the hall carpet is their place of choice .

My cats will walk into the house to pee/pooh so I reckon they wouldn't waste the yakking on outside .

One cat does it every.time.he eats. Grass.
The other one about once every 6 months.
New kittens - not yet!

We have vomity cough whilst simultaneously scooting backwards as he tries to get as far away from whatever he’s vomiting back up as quickly as possible. On completion of said vomit, he sits and looks at you as if you say, “why isn’t that cleared up slave?”.

Love them all. (Especially when cat vommed in Dh slippers and Dh didn’t realise until too late - bare footed)

Generally mine prefer the kitchen table,if they are after the full yuck effect its the landing outside the bedroom doors, standing in cat vome as you blurryalay stumble to the bathroom in the morning ain't good. They then yell at me as they are starving and want breakfast whilst I'm cleaning my feet/kitchen table. Love em Grin

I never knew a cat could produce so much puke, until I got cheddar. It used to be 2-3 times a day till I changed her food. Now it's once a month. Usually on my fresh clean duvet cover or carpet. Never on the laminate floor!

GenuineKlatchianPottery · 22/08/2020 13:16

So far Havelock has only ever furrballed on the laminate floor. He has a particular meow for furrballing and paces up and down the hallway yowling before the grnuging. Last time was about 4 weeks ago and I shit you not it was bigger than his bloody head!Envy
I’ve carefully cultivated an old litter tray of grass for him that he’s nibbled at, so fingers crossed that will help.

QueenCT · 22/08/2020 13:29

Ollie once ran in while puking. I had a nice trail all over the cream carpet in the hallway
He prefers soft surfaces Hmm

Mine threw up in my bed once. Thanks.

I’d gotten up on my side if the bed to go to the loo and came back to bed. It was dark. I lifted a bit if the duvet and felt my way across the sheet on her side of the bed to make sure I wouldn’t squash my furry friend....and found something cold and wet! She must have done it while I was asleep.

I put in lights to see what it was that I’d just touched and by this point she’s moved over to my side of the bed and refused to move, advising me that there was a mess on the other side and I could sleep there as she was taking my side! Er nope!

It was the last time she stayed the night under the covers. Now it’s on top or locked out of the bedroom.

I am a bad cat slave apparently.

Happy times.
Grin

Our cat does this about once a month.

Suzi888 · 22/08/2020 13:49
