Is there any way to get flea treatment online?

My vet charges me four times what they pay for my cats' flea, worm and tick treatments. Is there any other way to get these prescription medicines, for example an online vet, or do they have to actually see your cats before they can prescribe?

Just realised I’ve posted in the cat section, not sure if flea treatments are the same for cats and dogs Blush
No they are not, and some dog flea treatments can kill cats- one of many reasons these products are regulated as POM-Vs to ensure safe use and prescribing

I’ve been to pets at home today for some Flea spray etc and asked if they issue flea treatments that’s the same what vets would prescribe and they said yes. They just needed the pets weight.

But I’ve decided to ring vets in the morning as I want the strongest stuff.

To the Pp that mentioned itch, it didn’t work for my dog.

That's because you're speaking to a shop assistant who has no idea what drugs are POM-V and what aren't and will be clueless as to what vets actually sell. As most PAH retail assistants generally aren't trained in veterinary pharmacology....

I’ve just cancelled Itch. Had to go back to vet flea treatment. Itch just didn’t work on either my dog or cat. the cat also refused to eat the dental treats that Itch sold too! The FB reviews were good but my poor dog suffered when I started itch and stopped the vet stuff so now back on It and hope the fleas go again!

Itch contains fipronil and is basically the same as Frontline which doesn't always work now

Don't the vets mind Casually?
My vet actually suggested it.

I pay our vet for a prescription of 12 months of advantage £18 then buy online, I still save over £50 doing it this way.

Advantage doesnt need a prescription. Is it maybe Advocate?

I’ve never asked them! Maybe they understand that it’s better for a pet owner to be able to afford to treat their pet than not.
