Poor scabby Harry!

He keeps getting a scabby face. He doesn't continually scratch his face (and had his claws clipped) and the vet said his skin appears to be ok so we presume it's where he's poking around in the bushes in the garden. I have no idea how to stop him though!

This was him last night. He came in yesterday morning with a bloody face so we bathed it and it scanned over. It doesn't seem to be bothering him thankfully.

Silly Harry! Snorg is not pleased that you call him scabby though!

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 09/08/2020 14:50

Don't tell her I called him a battered old alley cat!

He's still gorgeous and I love him, scabs or no scabs!

You did what?!!

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 09/08/2020 21:40

I know, I forgot my place. I did tell him I was mistaken and actually he's the most handsome cat in the world!

He is a gorgeous cat!

Yes. He's very gorgeous.

Here he is before he started poking around in the bushes!

Well he’s ruining his looks doing that to himself isn’t he?.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 10/08/2020 19:02

He is! The only thing I can think of doing is to dig up the bushes but that won't be happening!

i too have a very itchy cat. he’s an indoor cat tho, and i’m in the awkward position of a friend with lots of animals not doing flea treatments and bringing them into my home.

it’s the only thing i can think of. i’ve been trying him on a different litter and it’s rubbish and i wondered if he was allergic. so he’s back on his usual litter and we had the standard comedy chase this evening to do a spot-on treatment.

it’s a month since his last one. he’s had no contact with any other animals. my friend gave me a sofa bed (now taken to the tip!) and i think it was probably a bit flea-ridden.

is it possible for fleas to transfer between households on people?

sorry to hijack the thread but my poor boy has been so miserable and scratchy.

Poor boy. I think it is possible for fleas to transfer on people. What flea treatment are you using for him? You might also need to do the house with Indorex to get rid of any stragglers

he's so cute! i love cats

i use Advocate and i’ve sprayed all my carpets and hoovered. took the sofa bed to the tip on saturday and sprayed the car.

i’m so annoyed, my poor boy has been so itchy and i now have to find a way of telling this friend that i don’t want her in my house unless she treats her animals. that can only go well, right?! there’s no other way of him getting fleas as he’s totally indoor.

fuck.
