What do I need for 2 recuse cats??

I have posted previously about wanting to regime a pair of cats- well we are finally seeing some early next week. If it all goes well the rescue is keen for them to leave ASAP.
The cats are 16 months and 12 months males.
What do I actually need to do in preparation for their (potential) arrival? Cat litter tray would be needed, food I presume will be told by rescue which brand, box/bed to skew in? What about a scratch post ?
Any advice appreciated,

You need at least 2 litter trays for 2 cats, plus places for them to sleep, and also a feeding area with bowls. A mat to put the bowls on is a good idea. Find out what litter and food they are currently using, but don't buy too much in case they end up not liking it after all!

Scratching post is good idea, or one of those cardboard scratching boxes is very popular with my cat.

Just recently we bought a large cat tree and our cats both love it so much, it makes me wish we had bought one sooner. Each of the pillars separating the floors is a scratching post.

Good luck! All of my cats until most recently have been adult rescues and they have been so good.

Toys are good

Sorry, meant to say toys are good, such as fishing rod type toys and laser pointers, and the Catit senses range. There's a lot out there.

Scratching post and cat tree. Food bowls, water bowls (we also have a mat for the food bowls). Mine like cardboard boxes too. Cat treats- mine like dreamies, webbox sticks and cosma snackies which are dried meat treats. Look on zooplus for good ideas

I only have one large litter tray for my cats (four). No litter problems at all.
Wouldn't worry too much about beds - but a copious supply of cardboard boxes is good.
Find out what they have been eating at the rescue and what litter they use there and start with that.
We use newspaper to put the cat bowls on.
I assume the two cats know each other and get on?

And if you can find any long feathers (swan or peacock recommended Grin) they make great toys.

A catnip toy. Yeowwz have great ones. A shallow-ish box.

If you're going to buy scratching posts don't waste your money on small, flimsy things. Cats like something tall and substantial. This us the best on the market in my opinion.

Thank you so much- all great advice!
Yes the cats have come from the same home, the rescue is keen for them to stay together. They have says they play and cuddle up together.
Is there anything specific I should look out for or ask when we go and see them?

Some pet beds - you never know they might like a cat igloo or doughnut to sleep
In or ignore!
Lots of cat litter, several cat bowls which a heavy so they don’t get kicked over. A mat under a litter tray - for wet feet/cat litter catchment and easiest to clean. Toys/cat nip/dreamies.
