Brown mushy cat food

In the 1990s, all cat food came in cans and was a rather unappealing looking brown mush. I'm fostering a lovely big boy with only three teeth and try hard as I might, I still can't find this stuff. Everything is chunks in jelly (he eats the jelly and no more) or in gravy (same issue).

Any ideas where I can get some meatloaf type stuff?

Bless him. Trays like Lily's kitchen are sort of mushy, but firm. Some pouches are very mushy, almost liquid. The gourmet ones from the supermarket might be worth a try.

Anything describing itself as pâté is probably similar.

I've seen mousse in the cat food section which I would imagine is very soft. I can't remember the brand.

Felix 'As Good As It Looks' is sort of mushed/non chunky and Felix Gravy Lover is mainly a thick gravy with very small chunks. Whiskas also do similar if I remember correctly (maybe Casserole or Delight varieties?).

An alternative could be to buy a cheap stick blender to try diy mushing.

Are his remaining teeth causing him any pain? That could also be putting him off eating.

Chunks are often mushable with a fork if you don't want to spend a fortune on pâtés.

Thanks for all these. His teeth are fine (been vet checked) - just wondered where I could get that loaf like brown stuff in a can. I found some at Jollye's :)

Thanks for the suggestions!

I second the pp with Lilly's kitchen. My old cat will eat mainly the jelly and maybe one or two chunks of normal even pouch food. She however devours lillys kitchen organic fish dinner.

My girl struggles with lumps. I get butchers choice in cans and mash with a fork and add some water to help!
Lidl small trays are not chunks.

My little fusspot likes Sheba melting hearts. She only eats biscuits and the liquidy part of cat food but she'll quite happily eat melting hearts! It's very soft and mushy, like puréed cat food!
