Badly heels

My girl cats heel (I think that's what they are) are bald on both legs. They've been that way since we got her. They dont bother her at all and arent irritated or even dry. Is this something cats get? Should i be concerned.

Can we have a picture?.

Plump82 · 08/05/2020 21:04

I'll try and get one tomorrow. She's currently playing and zooming about so won't sit still!
Just realised I spelt baldy wrong in the title - sorry!

Have you got any idea what her past was, pre rescue? The position of those patches make me think they could have been caused by having to sleep/lie on hard surfaces, which can cause the hair on bony areas to rub off.

Allergictoironing · 09/05/2020 08:42

Forgot to add - scarring can also cause bald patches.

Fluffycloudland77 · 09/05/2020 09:25

Oh mine had them there, vet said it was from sitting down on a bony prominence.

We got her when she was 8 weeks old. So no history as such. Thinking about it, she does tend to sleep on the window ledges and harder areas than her brother does.

Pop a fleece on the windowsill, they love a fleece.

I've got cushions down and she squeezes between them!!! Freda knows what she likes!
