Post surgery cat suit thing

Two questions really- my kitten got spayed on Wednesday and they put her in a rather fetching Lycra suit thing to stop her scratching her wound. (She’s not a fan)
With the no contact collection etc the hygiene of the suit wasn’t mentioned. Should I be taking her out of it to wash or will it cope for a week and then I take it off after 7 days? She’s managing to use the litter tray without getting it dirty and I’m able to lift it to check her wound but I don’t know how I’d ever get it back on her without hurting her if I did take it off to wash. I can only assume they put her in it while she was still out cold!
Secondly- we’ve kept her away from her brother unsupervised for 48 hours now in case he’s too rough and makes her run too much. They’ve sniffed around each other and been together for a few hours today and have been fine but I’ve still separated them over night. Do you think they’ll be ok together from tomorrow? I feel guilty as we’re having to keep her fairly separate for chunks in the morning and afternoon as we have a 20 month old who is not gentle enough with her while she’s so tender. So I want her to have lots of company while he’s not around!

I'd be tempted to leave the suit on if it's clean, as you say you probably won't get it back on. Can we have a picture of cat in said suit?

Firstly, I'm thrilled to hear that you managed to get your kitten spayed during all this. I thought all neutering had been suspended for the duration of the crisis.

Secondly, I wouldn't worry about her running around. Cats don't need to be kept quiet or still and can get back to doing their normal stuff after about 24hrs. Our surgery also doesn't issue cats with suits or cones and it never seems to be a problem. However if she is tolerating the suit then I would just leave it on unless she accidentally gets poo or wee on it, in which case wash it and then make a decision on whether to try to get it back on her.

She was very sorry for herself in the first 24 hours and is now still fairly sleepy but is taking an interest in life again. Too cute in the suit!
She’s managing the litter tray so I’ll leave it on for a bit longer. Don’t want to cause an issue and need to have another vet trip.
