Cheddars appears to be;
Cuddles in bed
Trying to stop me having a shower then more cuddles to celebrate my survival.
Breakfast,
Quick trip outside.
Sleep on bed from 11-8.30 ish
More cuddles
Bed.

Snorg appears much more flexible. She doesn't seem to have a routine!

Nope. Mine has always ran around the house at top speed during the night and slept all day Hmm. Also very fond of laptops and almost ruined ds's power point!

My cat's routine is pretending he has one, then changing it completely. Gives him the upper hand

Pascha · 01/04/2020 21:23

We've had Phoebe and Toto since January. Their routine seems to be:

Walk over my head
Refusal of breakfast
Disappear out the newly opened catflap for takeout mousie
Come back an hour later, whinging loudly at lack of breakfast Hmm
Eat breakfast
Sleep upstairs for approx 6 hours
Demand dinner at 4pm.
Ignore dinner
Bigger off out again
Bring home trophy creature
Eat dinner
Fight
Complain at now locked catflap
Fight
Play
Claw
Demand love and tickles
Zoomies
Fight
Settle down curled up together
Repeat...

DH is working from home , DS and DD are University / 6th Form so home too.
I am a Key Worker so out some days .

This pleases The Cats because they have Cat Slaves on tap and get rid of me Hmm

Today DH told me he hadn't seen our male cat for a few hours ( male cat is very shy) . He'd called , shaken biscuit tin, checked the garage ..no joy .

I went out (in my dressing gown, I know , lowering the tone here)

Male Cat sauntered in about 10 minutes later "Did ya miss me" ?

Little toad . If that's a new routine I'm not on board .

Ours is as follows:
-5.40am on the dot - wake me up. Sometimes by licking my foot / nose.

  • Go outside, sporadically come back in and out for food
  • 7.30am - Boycat wants to sit on me, and will make a fuss if I'm not available for this purpose.
  • Morning nap
  • In and out of the garden the whole day, occasionally bringing in something they've caught. Occasional naps on the sofa.
  • 4pm - Moan at me to play with them because they're bored
  • 6pm - dinner
  • 7.30pm - Getting dark so we have to catch them to lock them in for the night
  • Boycat goes to sleep on my lap, GirlCat on the bed
  • 10pm - wake up and try to break out of the locked catflap just as we are trying to go to sleep. Give up and go back to sleep.
-4am - Girlcat tries again to break out, gives up and wants to cuddle instead

Rinse and repeat.

How have all the Litter Tray Overlords coped with the clocks changing on top of lockdown.

When the clocks went back last October we changed the feeding time gradually (like we did with our guinea-pigs , they have alarm clocks hotwired to their bellies Grin )

Last weekend our cats didn't seem fazed by it .(Thankfully)

Toddlerteaplease · 03/04/2020 22:53

Mine haven't noticed the clocks changing. They can't tell the time!
