Or whatever you had for Christmas dinner?

Used to crack me up -when they finally decided " No more turkey thanks - where's our regular food gone?"

Turkey is the first "Human" food they have both scoffed. I think its dry and overcooked....
Miss ate salmon, chicken and beef, but Mr has turned his nose up at them all.
The prawns I put down were ignored by both cats!

Old, departed cats would mug you for your Turkey, making a nuisance of themselves hanging about the oven, their bowls and your feet. New, shy cat doesn't know what tit bits are and doesnt eat Turkey, sausages, ham, cheese, toast crusts, fish, tuna, prawns and sometimes not even cat treats. She really is an odd cat.

New DCat3 had turkey for the first time yesterday now his head is Head is in the fridge crying as soon as it’s open. The other two aren’t much better.

(I actually bought a turkey for 10 when only 3 people eat it in the house)

I don't let ours have roast meat. I boiled him the giblets last night. They stank the flat out (I'm vegetarian too) and the first bits I put down were removed from bowl and batted around the kitchen floor. I think they were still warm as turns out he loves them.

I had chicken but didn't give any to my new cats. I did however buy them a gourmet pouch as a Christmas treat but they turned their noses up at it. All they wanted was their normal food.

When clearing up tonight after Boxing day dinner, we realised that the one remaining pig in a blanket had vanished. We discovered that Sybil had jumped on the table, purloined it from a plate, and taken it under the dining room table in the time taken to move some dishes to the kitchen and come back. The uncanny thing is that she was previously seen (about 2 minutes previously) fast asleep in an upstairs bedroom.
Bloody Ninja cat Grin.

My 5 month old kitten Who is the size of a small horse is loving the turkey! However he eats anything that's not nailed down the big boys have nibbled a bit but are equally happy with biscuits

motortroll · 26/12/2019 21:17

No interest at all here!

Toddlerteaplease · 26/12/2019 21:53

Toddler girls in the cattery till Saturday. So no chance of tit bits. As I'm taking the leftovers to work tomorrow. Miss them. The house is too quiet.

One was crying for her turkey within 45 minutes of it going in the oven. Will still be crying for it at every meal/ every time someone goes in the kitchen/ eats anything till New Year's Day.

Other had a few mouthfuls and then decided to provide her own Xmas dinner in the shape of a variety of rodents.

The old man ate some, but only the white meat finely minced. However he's now decided he can only eat his usual fare if it has either the gravy/ leftover stock from the turkey poured over it. Being sensible and none indulgent owners we definitely haven't already made more stock from the leg bones for his breakfast tomorrow. Sil definitely hasn't been asked to bring her Turkey carcass over at the weekend for him.

Mine's absolutely loving Christmas! Is replete with turkey and now sleeping it off Xmas Smile

Deathraystare · 27/12/2019 17:17
