Please remind me that I don’t need one of these beds in any shape of form, and that cat’s don’t get Xmas. I was just looking at the Kings Cross market. They aren’t markets as we used to know them are they? I must leave my credit card at home. www.petsandpods.co.uk/products-1

At £115 no you don't need one. How ever Lazy days pet beds do
Lovely beds and cushions that you can use for yourself if the overlord doesn't take to it!

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/11/2019 10:16

They don’t look comfy to me.

An igloo type bed is good for during the night when it can drop below freezing. I wouldn’t want my cat baby cold.

I now leave the heating on at low 24/7 so it’s continually above freezing even last week when -5 outside so my furry friend isn’t chilled.

Vet costs to treat a UTI brought on by being chilled when heating broke previously were horrific. £20 to read a pee stick. FFS. It wasn’t even the vet who read it, I brought the sample, a nurse dipped it and advised vet whatever level was high. He agreed. His all if two seconds wasn’t worth £20. And that’s not counting the cost of the visit or the antibiotic jag. Best part of £100. Plus vat. That’s a fucking expensive chill. My extra heating over the winter doesn’t even come to that. Job done. And washing dries quicker too. So if you don’t want to hear your house you may find a £14 igloo bed or whatever is a money saver! And gives you an excuse to shop. Grin

Igloo bed safely tucked away in the loft here. Cat completely ignored it, prefers clean washing or sprawled out on the floor.

TheQueef · 24/11/2019 12:34

I had a wander into bespoke cat tree land Grin

For three scratch posts with one shelf and two beds it was 'only' £1250 ..............
It does have a marble base mind.

There is almost certainly a strong negative correlation between the price of the cat bed and the likelihood that the cat will use it.
A spare cardboard box (that you were going to use for something else) - perfect. However I'm certain mine would reject a £165 designer cat bed.
Mind you I've only ever had moggies - do posh cats have more expensive tastes?

TheQueef · 24/11/2019 13:14

I have both Grumps an old lady moggy, a Burmese and a Siamese.
They have beds and hammocks galore.
Subscribe and save delivery from Amazon is their favourite day.
Ultimate cardboard box and paper play time.

Philistine cats.

@TheQueef Tigga towers are such a rip off. Their stuff is massively over priced. Kalven have some really good scratch posts.

Toddlerteaplease · 25/11/2019 04:18

@Grumpyoldpersonwithcats Snorg and Cheddar have very expensive---- taste. They have custom made beds. Actually cheaper than standard ones and you can get new covers. (But don't tell them that)

Elieza · 25/11/2019 09:26

Snort and cheddar are lucky kitties. Is there a website for such personalised beds? I must look for some inspiration. I’m good at joinery and as thinking of making mine a canopied cat bunk bed with curtains and a tempur pillow mattress. So she can choose where she’d like to nap! Who doesn’t like bunk bed!

Toddlerteaplease · 25/11/2019 14:54

I get my beds from Lazy Days pet beds. They'll do what ever you like. You could make bunk beds from Ikea dolls beds.
