Cat returned now being sick - vets?

My cat was missing for several months (he does this regularly but this time we thought he was gone for good) and since his return yesterday he keeps vomiting and has runny poo. There was food down and in hindsight we should have restricted how much he had so put the first couple of episodes down to him gorging. Over night he was sick three times (no food) just bile. I’m fairly sure he needs worming and want to do it ASAP but obviously won’t if he’s going to vomit it straight back up. Plan was bland diet for the weekend and vet Monday if no better does this sound ok or should i try and get him to a vet today?

Could you use a spot on wormer?

Are there any that are effective? I recall previously looking and finding the oral ones seemed to be considered more effective, I’m not far from a pets at home so i’ll go and ask.

I think you should try and get him to the vet as soon as possible. If he’s being repeatedly sick and he’s been missing for months, you don’t know what is wrong with him. Wouldn’t it be better to take him asap?

I get ours from the vet - profender. Dont know about other good ones but yes you could ask in there

I'd get your cat checked out by a vet today. He could have picked up an infection or worms rather than vomiting from eating too much too quickly. Take him and get the treatment he possibly needs today rather than let him suffer until Monday as you can't know what's wrong and cheaper to take today than an emergency out of hours appointment.

He was checked out, nothing untoward, eating too much after having limited food was vets best guess. Thanks for the advice all.

I think we need a visual check to make sure we agree with the vet.

(TBF, thought photos were part of posting rules...!)
