I think our kitten hates the Dc.

Our kitten is 13 weeks old and we have a 3,12&10 year olds. Obviously the 3 year old can be loud but doesn’t touch dcat much unless dcat is on our lap. She does try and read her a book etc.

Dcat acts really skittish, she runs and hides a lot, will grab dds feet if she jumps Ip on the sofa while we are on it, just generally seems nervous. She was bought up with kids before we had her.

Will this change? She’s so loving to us but when she has her mad few hours a day she acts like she hates us 😂🙈

Have you got anywhere she can hide? Like a box on its side with a blanket in or one of your T-shirt's? In a quiet place. Sounds like she needs somewhere to escape to. Also, let her come to you and not the other way around helped us with ours; loves us now!

She has a little box with her bed and toys in, she likes to hide behind the sofa sometimes. She’s deffo a needy cat aswell, she constantly comes and sits on one of us but I feel bad for Dd as she doesn’t really get to sit with us while she’s there 😂.

Dcat just seems to have a mad hour every morning and evening and I think it scares the Dc. She will run from room to room jumping over the sofas, over people, scratching at everything. She likes to jump up and bite your feet etc 😂

She sounds like a completely normal adolescent cat. She’s still very young. Mad hours are pretty standard, as are running over people, grabbing feet etc.

Yep, Iv came to realise that now😂, it’s the minute we wake up but her cuddles after she’s shattered are worth it 😂

We were in a slightly different position to you in that we had a baby when the two Madcats were about 4. I think they stayed "Mad" until their second decade.

They weren't happy until DD was about 6 or 7...then they became good friends. They weren't aggressive or anything, they just fled and hid until her bedtime.

I would try to correct the grabbing feet by giving them a feather stick and giving them something more enjoyable to play with. GoCat Da Bird is a firm favourite (new kittens like it even more than our sadly missed old lads.)
